Transylvania Java User Group

On Tuesday 13th and 14th January I will be speakng at the Transylvania Java User group meeting. I visit Romania approximately once a month to work with a clients development team that are based there. They are a great bunch of people and one of the Java Developers has been persistent in asking me to present on the topic of Agile and SCRUM. I like persistence - its a good trait if you want to get things done - and - its amazing what a bribe of a few URSUS bears and sandwiches can also accomplish
It also gives me a chance to try out my limited Romanian on a few unsuspecting particpants.

The presentation will cover Agile and SCRUM, reasons for adoption, Value Stream Analysis, User Stories, User Story Mapping, Product Backlogs, Three Level Estimating, High Level Release Planning, Prioritisation, Agile Myths etc etc and equally as important will touch upon ’Rolling out Agile’.

Excellent presentation, thanks a lot!
Multumesc - Thank you
I was very surprised at the turnout - 95 people on the first day and 85 on the second. I was expecting a small group and it turned out to be rather large with guys from many different companies with offices in Cluj. Lots of international companies were represented from all types of skill sets. It seems to have gone down very well. Thanks to the JUG and Gabi P for inviting me, taking me along and basically making my life very easy! I also got to practice some Romanian!
And also thanks to Oana C and the guys at http://www.Betfair.com -who sponsored the event - the hotel where the presentation took place, food etc! Next month I will be back in Cluj and have been invited to see the the next speaker - as it too will be an interesting topic! Next time - apparently - I am going skiing one evening - by floodlight!
